[f. orbito- + sphenoid.]
a. adj. Belonging to the orbit and the sphenoid bone; applied to a small bone or bony process forming part of the eye-socket, and (in man) constituting the lesser wing of the sphenoid bone; in some lower animals it is a separate bone.
b. n. The orbitosphenoid bone or process.
