ˌover-ˈdrink, v. [OE. oferdrincan = OHG. ubartrinchan, MHG. übertrinken, Du. (zich) overdrinken; f. ofer-, over- 27 + drincan to drink. The 16th c. use may be a new formation: cf. overeat v.] intr. and refl. To drink too much, drink to excess or to intoxication.
