overdue, a. (ˈəʊvəˈdjuː: stress var.) [over- 24 b.] More than due; past the time when due. a. Of a bill, debt, etc.: Remaining unpaid after the assigned date. b. Of a ship, train, etc.: That has not appeared, or arrived, at the time fixed.
