1. To wear out or exhaust (with toil, etc.). Chiefly in pa. pple.

Spencer Data of Ethics x. §64. 178 Limbs over-worn by prolonged exertion, cannot without aching perform acts which would at other times cause no appreciable feeling.
2. To wear out (clothes, etc.), wear threadbare.
