† oxyrrhodin, -ine Obs.|ɒkˈsɪrəʊdɪn| Also in L. form oxyrrhodinum. [ad. mod.L. oxyrrhodinum, ad. Gr. ὀξυρρόδινον (ἔλαιον), ‘rose-oil mixed with vinegar’ (Liddell and Scott).] A preparation of vinegar and oil of roses, formerly used medicinally. Also † oxyrrhod, ‖ oxyrrhodon.
