‖ ozæna, ozena|əʊˈziːnə| [L. ozæna (Pliny), a. Gr. ὄζαινα a fetid polypus in the nose, f. ὄζειν to smell. Cf. F. ozène (1603 in Hatz-Darm.).] 1. Path. A fetid muco-purulent discharge from the nose, due to ulcerative disease of the mucous membrane, frequently with necrosis of the bone.
