Pertaining to the tonsils. So paˈristhmiotome [Gr. -τοµος cutting] (see quot.); paristhmitic |pærɪsθˈmɪtɪk| a., pertaining to paristhmitis; ‖ paristhmitis |-ˈaɪtɪs|, inflammation of the tonsils.
