Anat. and Zool.|pærɒkˈsɪpɪtəl| [f. para-1 1 + occipital.] Situated at the side of the occiput, or beside the occipital bone; applied spec. to certain bones, or processes of bone (also called paramastoid), as the jugular process of the occipital bone. b. as n. A paroccipital bone or process.
