pempidine Pharm.|ˈpɛmpɪdiːn| [f. penta- + methyl + piperidine.] An alkaline liquid, C10H21N, which has been used (usu. in the form of its hydrogen tartrate, a white, crystalline powder), as a ganglion-blocking agent in the treatment of severe hypertension; 1,2,2,6,6-pentamethylpiperidine.
