ˈpenny-grass [f. penny + grass.] Popular name of three different plants: a. Navelwort or Wall Pennywort, Cotyledon Umbilicus; b. Marsh Pennywort, Hydrocotyle vulgaris (in both cases from the round leaves); c. Yellow-rattle, Rhinanthus Crista-galli (from the flat roundish pods).
