‖ Periscii, n. pl.|pəˈrɪsɪaɪ, -ˈɪʃɪaɪ| [med.L., a. Gr. περίσκιοι, pl. of περίσκιος throwing a shadow all round, f. περί around + σκιά shadow.] Those who dwell within the polar circles, whose shadows revolve around them as the sun moves around the heavens on a summer day.
