[med.L., a. Gr. περίοικοι, pl. of περίοικος, lit. dwelling round, neighbouring; also as below. In F. périœciens; in 16th c. periéciens, perièces: see quot. 1594.]
1. Dwellers under the same parallel of latitude, but opposite meridians. (Cf. antœci.)
