pertechnetate, n. Chem.|pəˈtɛknɪteɪt| Also -technate |-ˈtɛkneɪt|. [f. as *pertechnetic a. + -ate1.] A salt of pertechnetic acid; used attrib. in Med. with reference to the use of a pertechnetate as a radioactive tracer in various diagnostic scanning techniques.
