释义 Perthes(') disease Med.|ˈpɜːtəz|
[Named after Georg Clemens Perthes (1869–1927), German surgeon, who described the condition in 1910.]
A disease of the hip occurring in children, probably owing to an interrupted blood supply, in which necrosis of part of the head of the femur leads to progressive deformity of the joint.
1915Amer. Jrnl. Orthopedic Surg. XII. 557, I shall try to reproduce these features which give a character of its own to Perthes disease, and to describe it as a new and typical disease of the hip.Ibid. 564 One must conclude that Perthes disease has a tendency to spontaneous reparation and that all treatment is useless.1958Jrnl. Bone & Joint Surg. XL-B. 173 Stigmata of pre-existing Perthes' disease: a large [femoral] head, decreased height of the epiphysis, slight subluxation, shortening or broadening of the femoral neck.1974Israel Jrnl. Med. Sci. X. 230 The results may indicate that the deformity of the acetabulum in Perthes disease, generally recognized as secondary to femoral head deformity, may in fact develop in the initial stages of the disease.
