pfui, int. (ˈfuːɪ, ‖ ˈpfui) [G.: cf. phoo int., phooey int. (n.)] (Orig. in Germany or among German-speaking people) an exclamation of contempt or disgust. Hence pfuiteufel |ˈpfuːɪtɔɪfəl| [G. teufel devil], emphatically in same sense.
