phenindione Pharm.|fɛnɪnˈdaɪəʊn| [f. phen- + indo-2 + -dione.] A white crystalline solid, 2-phenylindan-1,3-dione, C15H10O2, which is a vitamin K analogue used as an anticoagulant, esp. in the treatment of thrombosis.
