phlegmagogue|ˈflɛgməgɒg| [a. F. phlegmagogue, OF. fleumagogue (14th c. in Hatz.-Darm.), ad. med.L. phlegmagōgus, a. Gr. ϕλεγµαγωγός, f. ϕλέγµα phlegm + ἀγωγός drawing forth.] A medicine for expelling phlegm. Now rare.
