[transl. of Ger. Naturphilosophie, i.e. philosophy of nature, in the title of Oken's Lehrbuch der Naturphilosophie 1808–11, called in the Eng. transl. ‘Elements of Physiophilosophy’.]
A name for the philosophic system of nature of Oken, who ‘aimed at constructing all knowledge a priori, and thus setting forth the system of nature in its universal relations’.
