† pistoˈlade, n. Obs. [a. obs. F. pistolade a pistol-shot (1592 in Godefroy Compl.), f. pistole pistol + -ade; cf. cannonade.] A pistol-shot, or wound inflicted by one. Hence pistoˈlade v. trans., to attack or fire upon with pistols.
