pittacal Chem.|ˈpɪtəkəl| Also -call. [a. Ger. pittacal (Reichenbach 1835), f. Gr. πίττα pitch + καλός beautiful, κάλλος beauty.] A dark blue solid substance obtained from the high-boiling portions of wood-tar.
