pitticite Min.|ˈpɪtɪsaɪt| Also pittizite. [ad. Ger. pittizit (Hausmann 1813), f. Gr. πίττα pitch + -ic + -ite1.] Hydrous sulph-arsenate of iron having a vitreous or greasy lustre, occurring in yellowish or reddish-brown, red, and white reniform masses. Also called pitchy iron ore.
