plancheite Min.|ˈplɑ̃ʃeɪaɪt| Also planchéite. [a. F. planchéite (A. Lacroix 1908, in Compt. Rend. CXLVI. 724), f. the name of M. Planche, who provided ‘les meilleurs des matériaux étudiés’: see -ite1.] A blue, fibrous, hydrous silicate of copper.
