plastogamy Biol.|plæˈstɒgəmɪ| [f. Gr. πλαστ-ός moulded + -γαµία marriage.] The fusion of the protoplasm of two or more cells or unicellular organisms, as in the formation of a plasmodium. Hence plastoˈgamic a., pertaining to plastogamy.
