‖ pleurothotonos, -us Path.|plʊərəʊˈθɒtənɒs, -əs| Often erron. pleurosth- (after emprosthotonos, opisthotonos). [mod.L., f. Gr. πλευρόθεν from the side (f. πλευρά side) + -τονος stretched, stretching.] Tetanic bending of the body to one side.
