ˈpoinder Sc. Also 5 pundar, 9 -er. [f. poind v. + -er1.] A person, esp. an official, who poinds or distrains goods; also, b. ‘A person who has the charge of hedges, woods, etc., and who pounds cattle that trespass’ (Jam.).
