ˈpoodle-faker slang (chiefly Services'). [f. poodle n. 1 + faker.] A man who cultivates female society, esp. for the purpose of professional advancement; a ladies' man; a socialite; also, a young, newly commissioned officer. So ˈpoodle-faking vbl. n. and ppl. a.
