potsticker, n. N. Amer. Brit. |ˈpɒtˌstɪkə|, U.S. |ˈpɑtˌstɪkər| [‹ pot n.1 + sticker n.1, after Chinese guōtiēr ‹ guō pot, pan, boiler, cauldron + tiē paste, stick, glue + -r, nominalizing suffix.] A filled dumpling, typically crescent-shaped, esp. one that is pan-fried until brown on one side, then turned and simmered in a small amount of broth.
