preiotation|priːaɪəʊˈteɪʃən| [f. pre- A. 2 + iota (here standing for the palatal glide y) + -ation.] In the Slavonic languages, the development of a palatal glide before a vowel. So preiotiˈzation; preiˈotized a., preceded by a palatal glide.
