prosopagnosia Med.|ˌprɒsəʊpægˈnəʊsɪə| [mod.L., ad. G. prosopagnosie (J. Bodamer 1948, in Arch. f. Psychiatrie CLXXIX. 6), f. Gr. πρόσωπ-ον face, person + ἀγνωσία ignorance.] An inability to recognize a face as that of any particular person.
