Arretine, a.|ˈærɪtaɪn| Also Aretine. [ad. L. Ar(r)etinus, f. Ar(r)etium Arretium (see def.): see -ine1.] Of or pertaining to Arretium (modern Arezzo), an ancient city of central Italy; spec. designating fine red pottery made at Arretium and elsewhere from c. 100 b.c. until the Flavian period; = terra sigillata.
