ASBO, n. Brit. Brit. |ˈazbəʊ|, U.S. |ˈæzˌboʊ| Forms: 19– ASBO, 19– Asbo [Acronym ‹ the initial letters of anti-social behaviour order.] An anti-social behaviour order, a court order obtainable by local authorities which places restrictions on the movements or actions of a person who persisently engages in anti-social behaviour. Introduced under Section 1 of the Crime and Disorder Act in 1998 and first applied in 1999.
