‖ Ascarides, n. pl. Zool.|əˈskærɪdiːz| [mod.L., a. Gr. ἀσκαρίδες, pl. of ἀσκαρίς. An anglicized sing. ascarid has occas. been used.] A genus of intestinal worms; thread-worms.
