1. Applied attrib. to scholarships awarded annually since 1902 to students from the U.S., the British Commonwealth, South Africa, and Germany, for study at the University of Oxford; also to the scholars who receive these awards.

2. Rhodes (or Rhodes') grass, a perennial grass, Chloris gayana, native to Africa and widely cultivated elsewhere as a pasture grass.
