rhodusite Min.|ˈrəʊdəsaɪt| [ad. G. rhodusit (H. von Foullon 1891, in Sitzungsber. d. k. Akad. d. Wissensch. (Math.-Nat. Classe) C. 176), f. Rhodus L. name of the Mediterranean island Rhodes: see -ite1.] A fibrous variety of riebeckite in which some of the iron is replaced by magnesium.
