autosite|ˈɔːtəʊsaɪt| [f. Gr. αὐτόσιτος bringing one's own provisions, f. αὐτός self + σῖτος food.] The larger twin of a double fœtal monster, which supplies nourishment to the smaller (called the parasite); also, a single monster capable of independent life. Hence autoˈsitic a., that is, or is of the nature of, an autosite.
