bahu, n. S. Asian. Brit. |ˈbɑːhuː|, |ˈbɒhuː|, U.S. |ˈbɑˌhu| [‹ Hindi bahū daughter-in-law, son's wife, wife ‹ Sanskrit vadhū, vadhukā.] A daughter-in-law, esp. one who follows the tradition of living with her husband's family after marriage.
