Rollerblade, n. orig. U.S.|ˈrəʊləbleɪd| Also as two words and with lower-case initial. [f. roller n.1 + blade n., after roller-skate n.] A proprietary name for a type of roller-skate with wheels set in one straight line beneath the boot, giving an appearance and action similar to that of an ice-skate.
