1847R. Barton Blasis's Notes upon Dancing iii. 111 We shall consider the celebrated Maestro, first as a composer of Ballets, pas, ballabile, and other chorographic matters... The word ballabile signifies a dance executed by a large number of persons; that is, the general corps of the Ballet; the term was introduced into France, and other countries, by Blasis.
