‖ romancé, ppl. a.|rɔmɑ̃se| Fem. romancée. [Fr., f. romancer (see romance v.).] Fictionalized, rendered in the form of a novel; spec. of a biography. The fem. romancée is used in quot. 1962 because of Fr. la biographie.
