Presidium|prɪˈsɪdɪʌm, -z-| Also Præsidium. [Russ. prezídium, ad. L. præsidium, garrison, f. præsidēre (see preside v.).] The presiding body or standing committee in a Communistic organization, esp. in the Supreme Soviet. Also attrib.
