‖ psammoma Path.|psæˈməʊmə| Pl. -ˈomata. [mod.L., f. Gr. ψάµµος sand + -ōma as in carcinoma, etc.] A tumour containing calcareous particles like grains of sand; usually occurring in the membranes or other parts of the brain. Hence psaˈmmomatous a., of or pertaining to a psammoma.
