1. A plaything, toy.
1598R. Barckley Felic. Man iii. (1603) 146 Humane power and riches, which may be likened to the ruggles and toyes which children use to play with. Ibid. (1631) 503 Honour, and glory,..he esteemeth as the frumps of fortune, and ruggles for children to play with.
2. A species of shell.
