psylla Ent.|ˈsɪlə| Also Psylla. [mod.L. (E. F. Germar Systematis Glossatorum Prodromus (1811) 14), f. Gr. ψύλλα flea.] Any of the jumping plant-lice belonging to the genus so called or closely related genera, which include several pests.
