benefactive, a. (and n.)|bɛnɪˈfæktɪv| [ad. L. benefact-us capable of giving + -ive.] Used of an affix or verbal aspect, esp. in various American Indian languages, to indicate that a benefit is conferred on someone. Also as n., a benefactive form or set of forms.
