‖ ryu, n.|rɪˈuː| Also 9 riu. Pl. ryu. [Jap. -ryū stream, current, (hence) school, style.] A Japanese style or school of art, esp. martial arts, music, flower arrangement, etc. Freq. as final element in Combs. Also ryugi [gi rule, norm] in same sense.
