boatie, n. colloq. (chiefly Austral. and N.Z.).|ˈbəʊtɪ| [f. boat n. + -ie.] A person who sails a boat, esp. for pleasure; a boating enthusiast; spec. a member of the crew of a surf-boat. Usu. in pl. Cf. yachtie n.
