1956N.Y. Times 3 June 25 A ‘boatel’ in the park for the overnight accommodation of yachtsmen and outboard-boat operators. 1959Woman's Day July 28/2 The area is accessible only by boat or sea-plane, and there are no automobiles on the island. Hence the Inn at Windigo Harbor and the Lodge at Rock Harbor are referred to as botels rather than motels. 1960Daily Tel. 20 Aug. 7/1 Boatel.
