scalariform, a. Bot., etc.|skəˈlærɪfɔːm| [ad. mod.L. scālāriform-is, f. L. scālāris scalar, scalary: see -form.] Of the form of, or resembling, a ladder; characterized by ladder-like formation, as cells or vessels of plants having the walls thickened so that they form transverse ridges.
