‖ scaphocephalus Path.|ˌskæfəʊˈsɛfələs| [mod.L., f. Gr. σκάϕη boat + κεϕαλή head: after hydrocephalus.] ‘Boat-shaped head’; a condition of the skull (caused by premature ossification of the sagittal suture preventing transverse development), in which the length greatly exceeds the breadth.
