‖ puree, purray, n.1 Obs. Also 4 purree, 5 purry. [a. AF. purée, for F. puré, pa. pple. of F. purer: see pure v.] = pured 2 b, i.e. pured or pure white miniver, the belly fur of the grey squirrel in winter, used in the furring of garments. (In the London Letter Bks. in AF. form puree; in 15th c. Sc. as puray, purray.)
